Bradford-on-Avon

Although we have mentioned Renovating & Restoring old buildings is where our heart lies, the most important things to us is delivering a high-end finish product that suites our clients needs and requirements, even if sometimes it take us out of our comfort zone.

Which is exactly what we did when we extended this 1980s house in the historic town of Bradford-on-Avon. Our clients needs for their property had changed, in love with their surroundings moving house was not an option for them. With growing children more space was a necessity. We extended this 3-bedroom semi-detached house to a 4 Bedroomed home with a beautiful global touch.

Bradford-on-Avon is known for its buildings facades glistening in bath stone, when extending a home that is stone built there is a noticeable difference between the aging of the mineral. Instead of waiting for this to wear and blend over years, A more contemporary choice was to use sweet chestnut cladding on the exterior. Providing a woodland chalet impression in a suburban street.

Open plan living space is perfect for a busy family. With large sliding doors & long rectangular windows the outside space enriches the home.

We created an enclosed study off the living quarters, Allowing the occupant to shut themselves away for optimum productivity but have the option to open the door and allow the true experience of working from home to ignite, an unforgettable passed time for some.

This well-travelled family opted for an elegant nod to their adventures with their design statements. Using Moroccan inspired tiles & sink in the master-bedroom wet room, Along with Tadelakt walls. Beautiful & bold clashes of colours amongst textures and patterns create an atmospheric escape in this unique family home.

We were happy to have stepped away from our normal on this enticing project.
